About Me
Background:
I have a Master’s Degree of Counseling from George Fox University with a focus on individual counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling. I have sought specialized training to work with children and adolescent youth. My specialized training includes: play therapy, parent-child relationship training (parenting), child development and child counseling, and sexual addiction treatment. I also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and English education from Brigham Young University and have three years of experience working as an educator in the public schools. My experience as an educator of language and culture offers me sensitivity to the cultural experience of my clients and allows me to counsel both in the Spanish and English language. I also draw upon my life experience as person of faith, wife, mother, sister, and daughter to help me connect with my client’s experience of the world.
